Will AGI Replace Creative Jobs? Tech // AI & Culture Will AGI Replace Creative Jobs? A grounded look at what today's models can actually do in writing, music, and design, and where the gap between "impressive demo" and "replaces a professional" really sits. READ_TIME: 9 MIN TOPIC: AI / CREATIVE INDUSTRY STATUS: LIVE Every few months a new model drops a demo that ricochets across timelines: an AI-generated song that sounds uncannily like a real artist, a short film built entirely from prompts, a novel chapter that reads better than it has any right to. Each time, the same headline follows: is this the end of creative work? The honest answer is more interesting than yes or no. What we have right now isn't AGI, general intelligence that reasons and creates the way a person does across any domain. It's a set of narrow, extremely capable pattern-matching systems trained on enormous slices of human creative...

The Hustle Lie We’ve Been Sold “Hustle while they sleep.” “Grind now, shine later.” We’ve all heard it, and maybe even lived by it. The idea that working longer, sleeping less, and “pushing through” leads to success is one of the most damaging myths in modern culture. But neuroscience, psychology, and physiology all agree on one thing: chronic sleep deprivation doesn’t make you unstoppable, it makes you ineffective. The Science Behind Sleep and Performance Sleep isn’t wasted time. It’s an active biological process that restores your brain, hormones, and cells. Here’s what happens when you rest: 🧠Memory and creativity: During deep and REM sleep, your brain consolidates information and forms new connections. A 2013 study in Nature Neuroscience found that people who slept after learning performed 20–30% better on memory tasks. 💪 Physical recovery: Growth hormone, the key hormone for muscle repair and fat metabolism, is released during deep sleep. Studies in the Journal of...

In a town that never slept, a boy wandered the streets carrying a small, tattered box. Inside, he kept his dreams: delicate paper boats that shimmered in colors no one could name. Each night, he whispered to them, telling them his hopes, his fears, his quiet ambitions. But the world outside had grown loud. Phones buzzed constantly. Emails piled up. Notifications choked the air. Creativity, once as natural as breathing, had become a luxury. One evening, a stranger appeared in the town square. He wore a coat stitched from empty calendars and carried a briefcase that hummed with silence. “I can give you something,” the stranger said, his voice smooth and soft like velvet, “something few people have anymore. Silence. Peace. Freedom from the noise of the world. But it comes at a price.” The boy looked into the stranger’s briefcase and saw… nothing. No sound, no color, no chaos. Just emptiness. He felt the pull immediately: the relief of quiet, the lull of rest. “What’s the price?” the...

Stable job vs Dream job One of the most common decisions that people have to make is in regard to their future and how they should move forward. this is especially true for high school and college students; do you go for a stable and secure job? or do you embrace your passion and go for your dream job? There are very few people who are lucky enough to pursue their dream job from the get-go, but for the majority of us, we give up and simply hope to get a job at all. Personally, my solution to this would be to find a type of balance. Somewhat similar to the work/life balance, by balancing the need of a stable income with the passion of following your dream. This is most commonly done by turning your dream job into a hobby of sorts, the other way is to have a regular job sustaining you while you work to achieve said dream job. All in All, I can't tell you what to do, the choice is ultimately yours, just remember. No one can dictate the story of your life except for you, whether...
